Consultative Workshop, Can Tho, Viet Nam

Cuu Long 1 Research Team and Cuu Long 2 Research Team have finished the household survey phase and entered into the data analysis to produce the project outputs. For this reason, In March 2016, LMPPI project held a three-day consultative workshop at Mekong Development Institute of Can Tho University in order to discuss the draft data analysis results and project outputs with the two research teams.

Participants of the workshop:

 

  • LMPPI Partners: Cuu Long 1 Research Team and Cuu Long 2 Research Team (Mekong Development Institute of Can Tho University)
  • LMPPI Advisors: Dr. Dang Kim Son, Dr. Chu Thai Hoanh and Dr. Malcolm Frederick Mc Pherson
  • LMPPI Core Team: Ms. Le Thi Quynh Tram, Dr. Le Viet Phu and Ms. Nguyen Ai Thu

 

In day 1, the workshop focused on the data results presented by the two research teams and discussions on project outputs.

In day 2, Dr. Dang Kim Son, LMPPI advisor, presented the guidelines and examples on linking research findings with policy settings; and the two research teams improved their analysis accordingly.

In day 3, the two research teams and LMPPI team finalized the workshop outputs and agreed on the planning for remaining project works.

The workshop helps shape the project outputs in consideration of policy engagement.
